This place is a lot better than expected. The service was quick and customer service was really nice. there aren't many menu options because it's basic Japanese hibachi. They give you a good amount of food and it was very flavorful. I'd come back. The food was made rather quickly, and it was not busy inside of the restaurant.
I was heading to my dentist & then my stomach reminded me to take care of it since my mouth was going to be numb for a few hours after my visit so I decided to stop by cause it was on the same plaza. The place looked clean & the menu is straight to the point instead of the complicated menus that you see nowadays filled with a lot of flair about nothing. I got myself the Shrimp & Chicken combo with fried rice & zucchini. The portions are huge so you'll really appreciate if you have a strong appetite. It also came with Yum Yum sauce and shout out to the host/cashier for not being too cheap with the sauce. I didn't eat in but the food was great & the service was great. I have no complaint at all.
Update. We rate on the business as it is designed, not a comparison of the same cuisine in a different setting/model. I can no longer compare this to the Genji restaurant, but only as pre-cooked Genji fast food. They have improved the customer service aspect. I never saw any employee checking their phone this time. I also see that the lid with your order in shorthand, is stickered on top. So I noticed that the lid was lifted and reset after each item was added and slid down the counter. That now has an advantage of holding in the heat. They still ran out of 2 items again on this visit. I waited only for a short time for product re-stocking. This time the grill cook knew BEFORE the items were out. BROWN is still the one word description. Although SODIUM is closing the gap on the outside turn. It's Japanese, and soy sauce being a principle ingredient, is going to give you that brown and salty description. This should not be a thought out choice for the healthy. It's sure to bump the blood pressure. This restaurant is exactly as it is designed to be. Fast, Japanese, to go. Keep the dining room area clean. Keep the food fresh and hot. Get the customers through the line as fast as possible. ** Notes for the business.. Fried rice has egg, peas, and carrot. Don't skip on the details. Food container should reflect the portion size. I like the container, but it looks like every meal got shorted on the portion. IMHO
